JON ZAHOUREK was born in Oklahoma. He dropped out of college to become a painter and sculptor in the 1960s, making his way to the Taos, New Mexco area and later Denver, joining a community of artists working cooperatively rather than competitively. Zahourek moved to New York in the late ’70s to teach painting. He continued as an educator, eventually developing a system for teaching anatomy — a system that is now used by over 6,000 classrooms across the United States.
BISHOP’S collections include several Zahourek drawing, paintings, prints, and bronzes. Contact us if you are interested in purchasing — all works are for sale.
